Myslim Murrizi said for Top Channel that the other MPs of the Democratic Party (DP) and the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI), who didn’t’ obey his party’s decision to renounce their mandates as MPs, revealed their future plans as the new opposition group in Parliament.
“I will condition my vote for amending the electoral code, because this is very artificial. Everyone wanted to put their hands in the votes. The commissioners in electoral polls should not be involved in politics. There should be harsher laws for those who buy and sell votes”, Murrizi declared.
He also said that another amend that needs to be done is voting with “open lists”, rather than the current system, with closed lists.
However, the Socialist Party Secretary for Electoral Matters, when asked about the open lists, said that this is a constitutional process that requires its own time.
