The anti-slander package approved by the government one day ago provided extreme measures against online portals that publish fake news.
The first step is legalizing them, revealing the ownership and funding sources. The online media will also be inspected by AMA, the Audiovisual Media Authority.
A council of complaints will review the citizens’ complaints about the online publications, which are often made on nameless portals.
