The government will start a campaign of consultations for turning universities into research centers. Prime Minister Rama invited professors, university leaders and members of the Science Academy, in order to progress with the reform of this sector.
“Together with you and the Ministry of Education, we need to build a
work group for passing the scientific research strategy. Let’s build a
second working group for the new law on science. And let’s build a third
one for a unified approach to the reform of the scientific institution
system, which includes the academy and scientific centers. You will have
the entire report with all the opinions”, Rama said.
The Prime
Minister presented a general classification of the opinions and
propositions. The meeting is held after the auditing process and
collection of opinions that each of these institutions have carried out
to identify the problems, and propose solutions accordingly, with the
goal to improve their efficiency.
