Harsher punishments for sexual harassment in a working environment, this
is one of the amends in the new Labour Code, which has changed at least
90 articles.
“Discrimination at work and sexual harassment takes a special importance in these amends. This code gives more protection to employees in this dimension. We have guaranteed that the maximal weekly hours should be no longer than 48 hours and no more than 200 bonus hours”, declared the Minister of Labour, Social Matters and Equal Chances, Spiro Ksera.
After birth leave for all mothers has changed to 63 days, from 43, and for the first time, the law provides that every employee who wants to quit must firstly give an argument for the decision.
Every private or state company employee must not work more than 48 hours each week, including the bonus hours. The minors who are allowed to work should be older than 15, not 14, as it previously was.
