The European Union ambassadors met with the heads of the group that will
plan the first 300 days of the new left government, Ilir Beqja for the
Socialist Party and Edmond Haxhinasto for the Socialist Movement for
Integration.
The two representatives of the new majority gave the details of this meeting.
“The ambassadors were interested about the rule of law, war against corruption, an independent justice system, the basic values of the European Union. The Ambassadors were interested to push forward the economic cooperation of the respective countries with Albania, and for the business climate and the necessity of a stable fiscal system”, Beqja declared.
“We assessed the fact that in our program we have a constant reference as regards the obligations for the country’s integration process, for the package of obligations that are needed. We also valued our approach as regards the opposition’s engagement in the political process that are related with the country’s development and integrity, and also for our readiness to engage the opposition in all future processes that this integration process will require”, Haxhinasto declared.
According to Haxhinasto, within 10 days they will have a preliminary draft of the program between the Socialist Party and the Socialist Movement for Integration.
