New ER Center inauguration

The ER center is a 16 million EUR investment, while the appliances’ cost is more than 8 million EUR. The ER Center will not have the same functions as before, but will collect in one place several services and all urgencies of the University Hospital Center “Mother Teresa”.

This new structure is due to the fact that the Radiology of the modern center has 2 scanners, 1 MRI, 3 digital X-Ray appliances, 2 fluoroscopes, 3 abdominal and 1 cardiac ultrasound appliances, covering all the University Hospital needs. For Prime Minister Berisha, the new Urgency center is a big step in the modernization of the hospital service.

Berisha declared that soon will start the new financing system and the implementation of a program that will place our health system on total digital bases, as one of the most important premises for a successful management of all resources”, Berisha declared.

The new ER  is the first of five phases for the modernization of the entire University Hospital Center “Mother Teresa”. The new building has 93 beds and specialized labs for all hospital needs in a 247 service.
