“Nation’s Road”, police actions against protesters under investigation

The Service for Internal Matters and Complaints is verifying the procedures used by the Police in their response to the Nation’s Road protests.

Police officers were seen hitting protesters with batons and throwing back stones.

The scuffle ended up with protesters burning the toll booths of the PPP company that will manage the fee and road maintenance.

23 protesters were arrested on that day, 11 of them are still in prison.
