National Food Authority seizes 27 tons of meat products in Durres

The National Food Authority has seized more than 27 tons of unsafe food products in Durres, mainly chicken and sausages.

An inspection led to the seizing of 27 tons of chicken originating from Brazil, which was not within the legal food safety parameters.

Other violations were found in Korca, Fier and Shkoder. This operation comes a few weeks after the government banned large cargos of meat products coming from Canada and Brazil.
