The Chief of the Tirana Police, Ervin Hodaj, said that in some cases
during the fight against the cultivation of narcotics, a few police
officers have shown lack of professionalism while inspecting the
territory.
Hodaj didn’t give any numbers about this, but he underlined that disciplinary procedures are undergoing.
The Chief of Tirana Police requested more cooperation with the local government and said that the fight against cultivation of narcotics is very essential for the police.
As for the figures published for 2015, the Police has organized 42 operations and has eliminated 16.689 illegal plants, with 27 suspects under arrest. The police results have increased with 27.9%.
