Nano’s presidential platform

The Albanian former Prime Minister and former Socialist leader, Fatos
Nano, continues to communicate with the public through press statements,
by presenting his presidential platform, if he will be elected as Head
of the State.

Nano says that “there is no worse tyranny for the life and hope of the citizens than the tyranny and violence of institutions, especially that of justice institutions. This violence is demonstrated with disregard, negligence, decadence, corruption, delays and arrogance”, says the declaration of the Nano for President Movement.

“This violence affects the citizens, the poor, the weak, those with financial, physical and social limitations. Justice gives a meaning to freedom, democracy and development. Justice perceived as tyranny or delayed justice is an absent justice, a sad and direct indicator of the level of freedom, democracy and progress that we have in our country”.

The declaration seems like a political platform for a possible return of Nano in active politics.

“If Fatos Nano will become President of the Albanian Republic, he will lead an undertaking Presidency that negotiates, encourages and demands deep and all inclusive reforms for the Albanian justice”, the declaration says.

“We must show our ability to produce solutions, and we deserve to become a decent EU member country”, says the declaration of the former Prime Minister, recently committed to return in the Albanian politics as Head of State.

There is no official candidacy for the future president, besides the Constitutional Court Judge, Xhezair Zaganjori, who is supported by the ruling party, but not the opposition, which claims that the president should be a consensual figure, in order to not lose the EU candidate status for a third time.
