Naco discharges Concessions Director

One day after the Supreme State Audit published the report on the
inspections held with the power concessions, the Ministry of Economy
reacted through a press release, in which Minister Nasip Naco announces
that he has fired the General Director of the Concession Agency,
Shkelqim Kerluku.
The SAA report considered the Concession Agency as one of the institutions with most infringements, especially in collecting the obligatory concessionary fees of businesses who have taken hydropower plants in concession.
According to the SAA, the budget has been damaged with 11 million USD due to this failure. Minister Naco declared on the press release that they are seriously analyzing the report and that they will take all necessary measures, based on the law and by notifying the public.
The SAA blamed several Ministry officials in the report, accusing them of making massive infringements with the concessionary agreements, asking this way their discharge and even penal prosecution.
