Greek media sources stated today that sisters Kristina and Zhaneta and their killer Përparimi were arrested years ago for prostitution. Kristina was arrested in 2003 in Athens and in 2007 in Thessaloniki for illegal entry and prostitution.

Zhaneta was arrested for prostitution in Thessaloniki, in 1992, while Përparim Tela (Ademi) is known to have been convicted of prostitution, but not specifically when. According to Top Channel correspondent in Greece, Alexander Marku, the authorities in Greece are looking for the lawyer that Bashkim Metani has said was dealing with the sale of newly born children in Thessaloniki.

“The name of the lawyer has not been found yet, we do not know if what they say is true.”

Marku says that over the years there have been several cases in Greece where members of the Roma community in Thessaloniki and from Bulgaria have been involved in prostitution, child and organ trafficking. This issue remains to be investigated further by the relevant bodies in Albania and Greece.
