The Socialist MP, Kastriot Islami, reacted in a press release after he was expelled from the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group.

“I made a simple request before the meeting, for the media to be present in it, but it was rejected”, Islami declared.

Islami says that the decision for expelling him without his presence is an unprecedented, authoritarian and Stalinist decision.

“Rama doesn’t like voices that are raised against him, but he wants to strengthen his individual power with satellite rivals. I have tried to save the Socialist Party from the authoritarian actions of the leader, Edi Rama”, Islami declared, adding that he has been isolated from the Socialist actions in the party and Parliament.

The MPs who voted against are Arben Malaj, Marko Bello, Tom Doshi and Hazir Gashi.

The Socialist MP, Taulant Balla, commented the recent decision that expelled Islami from the Socialist Parliamentary Group.

“The decision was taken for breaking the political decision of the political group regarding the candidacy of Bujar Leskaj as Chairman of the Supreme State Audit”, Balla declared.

Balla explained that Islami did not exert the parliamentary political will of the Socialist party, and left the Parliament before the voting.
