From today, residents of border areas up to 30 kilometers from the Kosovo-Albania border zone will move without border checks.

This was announced by the two interior ministers, the Albanian Taulant Balla and the Kosovar Xhelal Zveçla, who after inspecting the border point of Morini said that this agreement signed earlier by the two governments facilitates not only free movement but also life of cross-border communities.

Meanwhile, the two ministers promised that very soon, just like the common point of Morin, the other points between Kosovo and Albania will be applied free movement without border controls for up to 9 months.

As for the rows of heavy vehicles that transport goods and industrial products, there is no such agreement, although there is the will for one such between the two countries.

For months, lines of trucks continue to form in Morina boder point due to customs clearance procedures.
