Eduard Gushi, a migrant worker in Greece, returned home with his family, his wife Silvana and two daughters Anastasia and Eva, aged 14 and 9 respectively.
After the opening of the border between Albania and Greece, they came for a few days of holiday in Vlora, but this was unfortunately to be their last trip.
Their car, a Toyota with Greek license plates, was hit with extraordinary force by an Audi with Albanian license plates, while traveling on the Fier-Vlora highway, near Kripore. The vehicle went off the road and was completely destroyed.
Witnesses, police and then emergency crews with difficulty pulled out of heir vehicle the members of the Gushi family.
Police are investigating the causes of the accident but the first suspicion is the high speed of the Audi vehicle and the loss of control on that part of the road. According to the police, three young people traveling in an Audi vehicle were injured in the collision. They also traveled to Vlora and were identified as Igli Madani, Fabio Lamaj and Glori Selimi.
