More women representation in politics

The political leaders expressed their readiness to implement the
Electoral Code in the next elections for having at least 30% of the
Parliament seats represented by women.
The Parliament Speaker, Jozefina Topalli, supported this initiative by underlining that women are more creative.
The Socialist leader, Edi Rama, declared that work with women is more constructive and that their low representation in politics comes as result of a low number of candidacies from the districts.
“With more women in politics there would be less corruption in the decisions. Compared to some year ago, women have a bigger representation. Albania has 12 Districts, and 30% of the lists should have women”, Rama declared.
