More than 20.000 students from Tirana’s universities have already received the Student’s Card, which gives them more than 100 benefits from public and private services.
This process is taking place for the first time in Albania, and it includes also the students of the Security Academy in Tirana, who are also receiving the Student’s Card.
The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, accompanied by the Deputy Interior Minister, Julian Hodaj; and the General Director, Bulbil Mema, stated that he was happy that almost half of the students are receiving the card.
“Many companies, starting from large shopping centers to smaller shops, even barbers and hair dressers, have joined this initiative of the municipality. They will put a sticker on their windows to show that they accept the student’s card, offering 20% and 30% reduction of their prices”, Veliaj said, thanking all private and public institutions that joined the Municipality’s initiative.
