No Albanian citizen has been able to cross the Montenegrin border without a passport after March 21st.

The Albanian Foreign Ministry had declared that the mutual agreement for crossing the Montenegro-Albania border only with ID cards had entered in effect, but this was respected only by the Albanian side.

A Top Channel journalist tried to cross the border with the ID card, after finishing the procedure at the Albanian side of the border, but he met the montenegrin rejection on the other side. The Montenegrin police declared that they had not been notified for the implementation of such a mutual agreement.

The cameras of Top Channel filmed the rejection that was made to an old Muriqan lady, who was not allowed by the Montenegrin police to cross the border.

Albania and Montenegro signes an agreement on 14 December 2011, between the respective Foreign Ministers, Edmond Haxhinasto and Milan Roćen, for easing the travel procedures between the countries.
