At the First Congress of Notaries in Albania, The Albanian Prime
Minister, Sali Berisha, identified their work as vital not only for
facilitating the services to the citizens, but also as a key link in the
war against money laundering.
Since the notaries make valid documents through which many transactions are made, Berisha underlined the importance of the war against terrorism.
“The observations and analysis related with terrorism, as a direct threat for our society, show that terrorism has a mechanism without which it cannot survive, and this mechanism is the money laundering. Your contribution in this area is vital and decisive. The respective agencies have informed me that they have had full and reliable cooperation with your offices, which they value so much. War against money laundering is war against security, and security comes first for every citizen, country and society”, Berisha declared.
