Ministry: Verifying the Lushnje Hospital decision

27/09/2012 00:00

The Health Ministry has established a working group for investigating
the reasons why 49 nurses and janitors were fired from the Lushnje
hospital.

The Red and Black Alliance representatives protested for the decision and considered them politically motivated. The Director of Policies at the Health Ministry declared that they will investigate this case and the nurses will return if they have been unjustly released from duty.

“The Health Minister established a working group and tomorrow I will visit the Lushnje hospital to verify the reasons why the nurses have been fired and if it was in full accordance with the law, if they were fired without a professional motivation. Preliminary information suggests that the cause is the inconsistency of the post with the education”, declared the Director of Policies at the Health Ministry, Pellumb Pipero.

According to Pipero, the Health Ministry has not fired any nurse because of the education, but they have stimulated them to receive the necessary education for this profession. The appointments and lay offs for the medical personnel are competency of the Hospital Director, who has fired 49 nurses and janitors.
