The Ministry of Health informed that 93 positive cases of Covid-19 have been registered in the last 24 hours (01.09.2020) and unfortunately 6 citizens have lost their lives.
The geographical distribution of positive daily cases is as follows: 42 cases in Tirana, 7 in Fier, 6 in Lushnje, 5 in Malësi e Madhe, 4 cases in Shkodra, Durres, Korca, Mirdita, 3 in Kavaja, 2 cases in Elbasan , Has, Vlora, Librazhd, Gjirokastra, from 1 case in Devoll, Kamza, Mat, Përmet.
Currently in the Infectious Diseases Hospital and “Shefqet Ndroqi” are being treated 182 patients confirmed positive with COVID-19, 23 in intensive therapy of which only 7 patients are intubated.
Despite the efforts of doctors, unfortunately in the two COVID hospitals could not win the battle with the disease; a 63-year-old man from Lezha, a 67-year-old and a 70-year-old woman from Tirana, a 70-year-old man from Librazhd, a 72-year-old man from Kukes and an 88-year-old man from Dibra. The Ministry expressed its condolences to the families.
Meanwhile, a record number of people have been recovered from the disease today. 227 citizens who have won the battle in the last 24 hours, in a total of 5441 healed since the beginning of the epidemic.
