Different to the pessimistic evaluations of the international financial
institutions, the government is convinced that the Albanian economy grew
with 3.9% during 2011.

The Minister of Finances declared that the year was closed as the government expected.

“I will continue for as long that I have such confirmations. The latest confirmation that we received from INSTAT is 3.9%”, Bode declared.

Bode added that the public finances are under control and that the government respected the budget deficit limit.

“Regardless the skepticism for the closure of 2011, based on the authorized parameters that were published in July, encouraged by the so called 2% shortfall of the budget revenues, I can say that the budget will respect the authorization that we received from the Parliament for not surpassing the inner loan limit and budget deficit for the authorized sum of 3.5%, which mounts to 48 billion ALL”, Bode declared.

The head of the Albanian finances quotes the recent reports of the two prestigious companies that evaluated the government debts, Moody’s and Standard&Poor’s, as the clearest indicator of the stability of the Albanian economy.

“These evaluations are the greeting card with the best wishes that the experts and international financial institutions could address to the Albanians on the verge of the New Year, for their economy and their unlimited hopes for progress and well-being in the mid-term period”, Bode declared.
