Two months before the Parliament session that will come out of the June
23rd elections, the Socialist Party Parliament Members ask the incumbent
Ministers to stop public spending, besides those going to wages and
insurances.

The first Parliament Member on the list for the Gjirokaster District, Arben Ahmetaj, considers every public spending unnecessary in the conditions of a crisis which is not only economic, but also administrative.

“It is unacceptable that Ministers keep spending. Besides wages and insurances, every other spending is unjustified. We have information that one of the ministries is reconstructing its premises and this is senseless”, Ahmetaj declared.

Referring to the energy system, Ahmetaj underlined that it is important to save its balance, as regards the spending in this sector.

“The export sales should create a fund that will be used for import in a time of drought. It is a responsibility of the Albanian Power Corporation to preserve the Fierza level, and the Distribution System Operator should not make other spending”, Ahmetaj declared.

According to Ahmetaj, the public spending would hamper the work fo the new government.

“Millions of EUR are missing from the budget. If this trend will not stop, the new government will be in a more difficult situation than what we have seen in the recent months”, Ahmetaj declared.
