The Kosovo Minister of Security Forces, Haki Demolli, said that they
will support the Parliamentary Group for the KSF draft-law that turns it
into an army.
In an interview for KosovaPress, Demolli said that the draft law will be sent this Tuesday at the Kosovo government, together with the opinion of the institution led by him.
“By initiative of the President, who was granted by the Constitution with the right to demand laws from the area under his competences, he handed over to the Parliament Speaker the draft-law that turns the Kosovo Security Forces into an Army. It has also been sent to the Kosovo Prime Minister, the Minister of Finances and the Minister of European Integration. We established to work groups, so that we can give our opinion”, Demolli said.
The Minsiter added that he would feel good if the Security Forces turned into an Army while he was the one leading the Ministry.
“The President, who initiated this move, has publicly declared that he is acting in coordination with the international factor. I trust that this coordination exists. However, we will support it. I have said it before, and I will say again that I, as Minister of the Security Forces, but also the Parliament Members of the LDK, will supoprt this because I don’t think there are Albanians in Kosovo who don’t want this to take place as soon as possible”, he said.
