The Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, wrote a letter to the President
of the Albanian Republic, also Chairman of the High Council of Justice,
and to the Minister of Justice, Ylli Manjani, to denounce a flagrant
case, according to Tahiri, in which a Vlore judge has released a person
arrested for illegal arm possession.
Minister Tahiri underlines in his letter that these decisions might discourage the police in future fights against crime.
The minister also denounces the judge with his name and surname, together with the person that received the favor. It is the judge of Vlore, Laurent Fucia, who released Vasil Papa who was arrested for illegal arm possession.
Minister Tahiri asked President Nishani and the Justice Minsiter to verify the case and take the necessary steps, since the society is at risk by judges who take decisions in favor of the law violators.
