The Minister of Interior, Saimir Tahiri, declared that this was one of
the best electoral processes in history, with the citizens, democracy
and the rule of law being the true winner, due to the good calm retained
while voting and the good will of institutions”, Tahiri declared.
Tahiri said that these elections proved that when the political will servers to the citizens and not to the interest of parties, there can be free elections.
“This is a standard from which we should not turn back”, Tahiri said, thanking the opposition’s candidates too.
“I want to thank the candidates of the majority and the opposition who shown that what divides us are the parties, but when there is good will for fair elections, standards can be reached”.
The minister thanked the Central Election Commission, the Prosecution and the Police. He warned that there will be investigations for any effort of manipulation.
