The Justice Reform is a foundation stone in the path towards the EU,
said the German Foreign Minister, Frank Walter Steinmeier. He welcomed
in Berlin his Albanian counterpart, Ditmir Bushati.
“We support this opportunity and I want to express that the justice reform is ain important foundation stone for the EU path. This will be found in the reports that you are expecting from the European Commission. I can say it from now that I respect what has been reached so far. And we hope that this proposition for a reform will turn into reality for Albania”, Steinmeier said.
Both politicians discussed the significance of cooperation and focused on the situation in our region, the relations with our negihbors.
“Despite the difficulties that the EU is facing in this time of crisis, we have felt the support through the German initiatives, mainly through the Berlin Process. There was also support for the normalization of the relations between Serbia and Albania, for the dialogue between Albania and Kosovo, support shown through the Western Balkan Conference in Vienna and that will be held soon in Paris”, Bushati said.
“Albania is an important partners for the stability of Western Balkan. If you see Western Balkan today you will not find only organized elections in Serbia, but also in Macedonia. There are many protests, conflicts and irritations on the streets”, Steinmeier said.
The German Foreign Minister expressed his support for the reforms made by Albania and promised to visit our country soon.
