The Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Damian Gjiknuri, said from Vlora that the opposition is launching a campaign of slanders to block Albania’s integration process.
“The Democratic Party is on a frontal attack. Seeing that they have no other hope to convince the Albanian citizens with their alternatives, they are spreading denigrating attacks against the government, complaining to foreign partners. They started it with the former Interior Minister, kept going with the current one, and now they are after me. They are attacking the main Ministers and MPs of the Socialist Party, the ones who have electoral significance, only to slander the government to foreign partners, with the only process to sabotage the integration process”, Gjiknuri declared.
The Minister added that the country is in a very decisive moment now, very close to opening the EU accession negotiations. “This is an important event, taking Albania into political stability and more EU funds”, Gjiknuri declared.
