The Minister of Energy, Damian Gjiknuri, inaugurated the 900 million ALL
investment in the Fierza Hydropower Plant. This investment will
increase the production efficiency and will improve the work conditions.
“The longevity of this work will be longer. The economic efficiency will increase. This will save a very important national asset. KESH is negotiating to restructure its entire debt that was created after the bankruptcy created in this sector during the past government. This is a trust vote for the energy reform. A trust vote for KESH and EBRD, which will come with the biggest financial package for supporting this corporate. Only by restructuring this credit, we will save millions of Euros a year by lowering interests and start paying the principal”, Gjiknuri declared.
The improved payments for OSHEE have brought a chain of financial improvement of KESH. The Minister of Energy inspected the works for placing the energy poles in the Koman-Fierza segment. He said that within June they will inaugurate the connection with Kosovo.
