The Minister of Economy, Tourism, Trade and Businesses, Arben Ahmetaj,
explained that the Free Economic Area for Spitalla is among the most
important projects that the government has drafted in cooperation with
the Harvard University team, for more than one year.
“The project is based on productivity, prediction and profitability, to create a business environment with a special legal and fiscal regime that stimulates investments, enlarges the range of new technologies and industries, and creates employment conditions”, Ahmetaj declared.
The criteria:
• Technical construction proposition, 20 points;
• Environmental impact, 6 points;
• Social impact through employment, 16 points;
• Finalization period, 8 points;
• Financial capacity and funding abilities (business plan) 50 out of a total 100 points.
The deadline is 65 days from the publication date, October 28th 2015.
