A tragic accident was recorded this afternoon (Thursday) on the national road Gjirokastra-Saranda, in southern Albania.
According to preliminary information, a passenger van of the Tirana-Saranda passenger lines, traveling from Saranda to Gjirokastra, collided with a “Land Rover” type vehicle.
The passenger vehicle with the driver identified as Bardhi Porda, went off the road in Qafa e Muzinës, falling into the abyss from about 10 meters of height.
As a result five people in the vehicle are reported to have lost their lives.
Other passengers are reported to have been transported to the Gjirokastra hospital, while work is being done at the scene to pull other people out who are trapped in the vehicle.
