Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future
The hunger strike of the Bulqize miners has entered its fourth day.
In support of the strikers, miners’ relatives and children joined the protest for the fulfillment of their demands.
The strike commission says that the strikers are having health problems, headache and fatigue. The strikers now need medical control. A tent raised near the premises where the strike is being held, shelters a group of miners who guard the strikers 24 hours a day.
The Peshkopia Court started today the trial against some syndication members, after the ACR Company sued Taf Koleci, Dilaver Perkoxha and the hunger strike leader, Baki Bajraktari. They were sued by the ACR Company for illegal striking activity.
Opposition MPs visit Bulqize Miners
United Opposition representatives traveled this Wednesday to Bulqize for watching the situation of the miners who are on strike.
The MP Saimir Tahiri, Kurt Kola and Petro Koci met the miners who expressed their concern about a revenge that the Education Directory was conducting upon their children.
“Our children have no money to go to school. If I leave the hunger strike and go home, the children will start begging me for 100 ALL. This is a catastrophe. Bulqize should be the biggest treasure, but it is suffering”, declared one of the miners.
The MP Saimir Tahiri commented from Bulqize about the declarations of the Minister of Agriculture, Genc Ruli, who invited the opposition to sent the proofs at the prosecution.
“Genc Ruli appeared today in front of the press and declared that he would resolve the situation of Bulqize and that according to him, we have accused him unjustly. Ruli should be responding in front of the justice. This state and this government should have the dignity to give an answer to the miners. You all must say that you are no slaves, not for Ruli and not for anyone else”, Tahiri declared.
