The Military Home building changed its ownership today, although the
army symbols are still there. Now it has passed to the Interior
Ministry. The government’s decision was taken by the Council of
Ministers only four days ago.
“The decision was not published with argument because there was a mistake. This decision is about the passing of the Military Home to the Tirana Municipality, for the Democratic Party headquarters”, Berisha declared a few days ago.
While the Prime Minister mentioned this declaration in the government meeting, the Interior Ministry made an official announcement, confirming for Top Channel that the Ministry led by Flamur Noka, who is also organizative secretary of the Democratic Party, will be the one signing this agreement.
The government’s decision also says that the interior Minister will also sign the agreement for leasing it according to the Civil Code, although the case has been opposed by the former military and the new majority, who consider this a violation of the legal procedures. The Prime Minister was determined to defend this decision even in his last declarations.
On Facebook, where he is facing the citizens’ disagreement on this decision, Berisha writes that it was taken because the building had lost the military functions and had turned into a place for weddings and hotel for the military men.
Berisha added that the Socialist Party is opposing this decision because they hate the political adversaries, and that Rama, when he was a Mayor, had planned to turn it into a functional building and not for the military.
“The Socialist Party headquarters is four times bigger than that of the Democratic Party. The painter (Rama) showed with his reaction that the inherited hate against the adversary is what he is happy about now that he won power”, Berisha concludes.
While it has been confirmed that the agreement will be between the Interior Ministry and the Democratic Party, it is still unknown when it will enter in act.
