The leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration (SMI), Ilir Meta,
is the first Albanian politician to hold a press conference for the New
Year 2012.
Meta laid some of the SMI priorities for 2012, saying that the key word for the Party he leads will be Albania’s EU progress.
“I believe that the SMI will improve its performance as a governing political party, in order to realize the objectives of the majority and those of the SMI as a political force. Our key word will continue to be the EU integration”, Meta declared.
The SMI leader added that it would be an exaggerated modesty if he would not run for another mandate as leader of this political force, which, according to him, made a spectacular progress in the May 8th local elections.
