President Ilir Meta considered today positive but belated the decision of the HJC to end the mandate of the High Court and KED contested member Ardian Dvorani.
Meta said that as President, he is never interested in individuals, but Dvorani’s departure is an opportunity to maintain the integrity of the new justice institutions.
“I believe the position of the President remains that of the Constitution and the law, which have been very clear. Yesterday’s decision is belated but positive, an opportunity to maintain the integrity of new justice institutions.
“As President, I have never taken on individuals. Legitimacy with the Constitution is most important. Respect for the Constitution and laws has been and remains crucial”, said Meta.
