Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future
The leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Ilir Meta, met
with the business representatives of a call centre in Tirana. Meta
declared that this business is a good opportunity for new jobs.
He added that despite the negative impact of the crisis in the neighbouring countries, Greece and Italy, we should be vigilant to exploit the opportunities that bring foreign investments in our country.
Meta underlined that youth employment has always been a main priority of his party’s political program.
Meta underlines that the SMI believes that the coalition for the citizens’ employment is the one that Albania needs in these turbulent times.
Meta supported the proposition made by Prime Minsiter Berisha for reducing the voting age limit to 16.
“16 year olds deserve to vote and take their own responsibilities. SMI is the first political force that has changed the status and where 16-year-old members can vote”, Meta declared.
He added that even if the consensus to realize this amend cannot be reached before these elections, the 16-year-old children in the future should have a bigger role than today.
The SMI leader underlined that the cooperation between the political forces should expand in all levels, in order to approve the three laws and create a positive climate for the June 23rd elections.
