Meta: Let’s stop electoral calculations

The leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Ilir Meta, appealed the Albanian political class to stop making calculations for the 2013 elections in order to avoid any damage for the EU candidate status.
“The political class must not damage the 100th anniversary of independence with a short-sighted policy”, Meta declared.
“The calculations for the elections of 2013 must not damage the EU candidate status, so that we can celebrate the 100th anniversary of independence with pride, on behalf of all generations of patriots who sacrificed for our state. We must not let a short sighted policy, which affects the dignity of Albania in the European family and plays a role for the stability and development of the Balkan region”, Meta added.
Meta asked the Albanian policy to see the immunity lifting as a priority in the start of the new Parliamentary session.
Hundreds of SMI supporters from Albania are gathered in a youth camp where the political, cultural and entertaining activities are being held for five days at the Jale seaside.
