The leader of the Socialist Movement for Integration, Ilir Meta,
underlined that the Albanian politics must follow the example of Dacic
and Thaci for overcoming the obstacles for the full EU candidate status.
Speaking before the voting for the SMI leader, Meta declared that this is a historical meeting that shows that two state leaders have taken the responsibility to do what’s best for their country, which is what the Albanian politics must do.
While considering Albania a stability factor in the country, Ilir Meta appealed the passing of the laws that are required for the EU candidate status.
Luan Rama, Meta’s challenger in the race for the party leader, focused on the SMI voting process that according to him is the only one that really implements the program “one member, one vote”.
“SMI is a party of the future, a party of challenges and victories”, Rama declared.
