The newspaper “La Repubblica”, which brought up the matter of the meeting between Frattini, Meta and Lavitola, continues
to investigate about the case.
The Italian daily newspaper published an interview of the Albanian Foreign Minister, Ilir Meta, for revealing the truth about the photos made during the official meeting in the Italian Foreign Ministry, in which, as Top Channel’s photo shows, Lavitola was also present.
Lavitola is a businessman with an obscure past, but now a little bit clearer. He has currently fled Italy to escape from an arrest order. In this interview for the journalist Daniele Mastrogiacomo, Ilir Meta says briefly: “If that gentleman was there, someone has authorized him”.
Meta also tells the journalist that he doesn’t remember who the person in question is. The newspaper has also published the registration of the phone conversation between Meta and Lavitola, a few days before the meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Through the head of the cabinet staff, the person that Meta passed to the Italian businessman, they have scheduled a meeting in Farnesina and then a dinner.
