Meta: Berisha and Rama should meet

Meta declared that Berisha and Rama must leave the past behind and meet for the country’s interests.

Meta used as an example the Prime Minister of Zimbabwe, who on behalf of the country’s interest meets and dialogues with the former dictator president, Mugabe, who killed his family members.

Part of Meta’s speech:

“We need some good understanding and flexibility for closing the electoral reform and the reform of the parliamentary procedures, in order to resolve the immunity issue for high rank officials. And at the same time, we must elect a president who will contribute to Albania’s EU integration process. I don’t think that this is an unmeasured sacrifice, when I met one week ago a very well known figure for me, Morgan Zvangerai, the Prime Minister of Zimbabwe. He has led for many years the opposition force against one of the most inhuman regimes in Africa and the entire world. Ralph, his secretary for international relations said that he discusses the future of Zimbabwe with Mugabe, each week, while Zvangerai has lost many people during the difficult years in opposition. He lost even his wife, mother of six children. And Zvangerai sits with Mugabe, who keeps being President of Zimbabwe, not because he has forgotten the future and the victims, or the election manipulations, but he knows that if they don’t sit and dialogue, even more people will be killed in Zimbabwe and more children will remain orphans. Leaving the past behind, is an immediate request for everyone, even for the politicians in Albania, an European country with most of the people supporting the EU membership. No one can go against this legit request that knows no party.
