Meta and Rama race for SMI leadership

The convention of the Socialist Movement for Integration will have the
current leader, Ilir Meta, running against the General Secretary of the
Party, Luan Rama.
The Head of the Organization Committee of the Electoral Convention, the vice chairman of the Socialist Movement for Integratin, Petrit Vasili, considered the race an indicator of the values and democracy in this political force.
“The process was open and transparent. It created a race that on my opinion was complete, democratic and a race of qualities. The long experience of Mr. Meta and that of Mr. Rama guarantee an enrichment of the SMI in such a debate process”, Vasili declared.
“I will present the details and pillars on which my platform will be based. Naturally I will bring the critical evaluations for what the SMI has done. Through this confrontation we will go to the SMI leaders with clear ideas and programs”, Rama declared.
The National Electoral Convention of the SMI will be held on October 27th.
