Meta accuses Prosecution

One day after the decision of the Supreme Court, Ilir Meta threw a series of accusations against the General Prosecution.

The Former Deputy Prime Minister, now under investigation, after Top-Channel’s program “Fiks Fare” broadcasted a corruption scandal video, called the procedural actions of the Prosecution as intentionally illegal, promising that those who have undertaken these actions will face law.

“The goal of the Prosecution was not to find the truth. Their actions are based on electoral purposes. The Prosecution has abused with dozens of thousand of dollars on illegal, invalid and intentional inspections”, Ilir Meta declared.

The head of the Socialist Movement for Integration declared that he will ask serious reforms at the General Prosecution Office.

“We need a serious reform at the General Prosecution. In this institution there is still the mentality of the communist regime secret services”, Meta declared.

But voices from the Prosecution confidentially said for Top-Channel that the former Deputy Prime Minister cannot release such accusations against the Prosecution while being under investigation, since the Supreme Court decided one day ago to start the trial against him.

The same voices say that the Prosecution is not involved, at any case, with Ilir Meta’s political war, explaining that they called him when the electoral campaign was over only because that was the end of the investigation period. For the Prosecution, it is exactly Mr. Meta who has attacked the prosecution with these declarations.
