MP Mesila Doda is not a member of the Democratic Party. She said on
Facebook that DP has lost its core and has turned into a clientelistic
party.
“I regret leaving a party that we created with students and teachers 25 years ago, not far from the political purpose for which it was created. Now it is a clientelistic party. I hope that the political people in that party who are still resisting, can make it clear to those who are responsible for the huge damage they are causing. I hope my decision will help the decision markers to have a new approach to the real political figures, wise men and women I often see being offended and left aside, or being part of witch hunts, for the only reason because they have not admitted the silence code and the next defeat”, she writes.
Doda explains that her divisions with the party leaders started with their stances for the chemical weapons, the removal of mandates for women Parliament Members, and the start of a process for denouncing the infiltration of crime in Parliament, the request to preserve the mandates of women in Parliament, refusing boycotts and demanding the opening of communist files.
Doda’s confrontation with the DP peaked when she refused the political decision of the DP to vote in favor of removing the mandate of MP Tom Doshi and Mark Frroku.
“After I voted to remove their immunity, I was excluded from the Tiarna campaign by order of the Parliamentary Group Chairman”, Doda explained.
