The Albanian Prime Ministry published the details of the visit that the
German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, will attend in Albania on July 8th.
The German delegation will be at the Prime Minister’s office where Mrs.Merkel will be received with a ceremony, and will have a meeting with Prime Minister Rama and another one between both delegations.
After a joint press release with Rama, Merkel will meet with the Albanian President, Bujar Nishani. Merkel will conclude the visit in Tirana with a greeting speech for the Tirana Business Park Economic Forum.
Endri Fuga, from the Communication Office at the Prime Ministry, declared that this visit comes after an invitation made by PM Rama in Berlin.
Fuga said that this visit will focus on the regional and political issues, including Kosovo. This is the first official visit of a German chancellor in Albania since Gerhard Schroedder in 1999, who was visiting the German troops installed for helping the refugees from Kosovo.
