The Kosovo Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, met today with the German
Chancellor, Angela Merkel, with whom he discussed about the visa
liberalization issue. Merkel said that the liberalization will take
place when the conditions are met.
Germany expressed once against its support to Kosovo, while Merkel said that Kosovo institutions must fulfill their duties. The delegation from Kosovo was received today in Berlin with the highest state honors, the national guard of honor and with the respective anthems.
Mustafa, accompanied by Foreign Minister Hasthim Thaci and other Ministers, discussed with the German chancellor about the dialogue with Serbia, fight against organized crime and corruption, the creation of the Special Court and the issue of asylum seekers.
Merkel said that only 1.1% of the asylum seekers have received a positive response, and that’s why she and Kosovo’s PM discussed to support the development of Kosovo in order to resolve problems within the country.
“We have huge economic problems, that’s why we need help, especially in investments. I invite investors to come to Kosovo”, Mustafa declared, adding that Kosovo is committed tor each a a dialogue agreement with Serbia.
