Medin Zhega passes away

The former football player and coach of the Albanian National Team, Medin Zhega, passed away today.
Zhega was hospitalized at the Mother Teresa Hospital Center, after an accident in Canada.
Zhega was born on 31 January 1946, in Shkoder, where he started his career with Vllaznia. After the success with this team, Zhega entered Tirana’s Dinamo team, and returned to close his career with the team of his hometown, Vllaznia.
Zhega then dedicated his work to footbol, this time as a coach. The culmination of his career was the leading of the Albanian national team in 2000.
Medin Zhega was honored with the title “Great Master”, by the President.
