Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future Pharmaceutics producers, importers and distributors warned that the
market risks to have no medicaments if the government will definitively
decide to have the new fiscal stamp applied in the factories that
produce the medicine.
“We have expressed our great concern, regarding the way that requires the double stamp to be placed in the production factory of a foreign country. This operation is technically unrealizable. We have addressed this concern to the competent institutions and expect a responsible treatment of this problem. The risk is serious and if the right decisions will not be taken, we might risk to lack the necessary supply with the medicine”, said Armer Juka, from the Pharmaceutics Business Union.
The Pharmaceutics Business Union agrees with the establishment of the double stamp, but according to them, the abuses with the medicaments’ reimbursement will not be allowed and the inspections by the state authorities will increase. The Union of Pharmaceutics Producers has also opposed the declarations of the Order of Physicians for a price increase.
“The Union is distanced by some inaccurate declarations that were made lately by the President of the Order of Physicians, who declared that the double stamp would increase the medicines’ price with 20%. This declaration is speculative, especially now that there is no official act that establishes the price of stamps”, Juka declared.
