The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, attended the “European Union Model – Albania 2018” meeting this Sunday, in which young people from various countries simulated the roles of different political personalities, and a debate for Albania’s EU integration.
Mayor Erion Veliaj said that the challenge is unique for all institutions, including citizens and individuals.
“Many say very easily that they simply have never liked us, but different from them, you represent a sophisticated part of our society and of our youth, because you are thinking about important internal matters. A roof does not go down when its tiles are broken, but it will collapse when a single one of the roof beams gets broken. This means that there should be consensus, otherwise this structure doesn’t work”, Veliaj said.
