On the 105th anniversary of Tirana’s independence, Mayor Erion Veliaj and local officials attended a commemorating ceremony in front of the Parliament, where the flag was raised.
Veliaj said that this day serves to remind those who keep contributing to Tirana that the city must keep being a leader in every direction.
“Tirana keeps being avantgarde for the independence from poverty, independence from ignorance. I believe that Tirana will be the capital of Albania and also of all Albanians”, Veliaj said.
