Linda Rama: Between Family, Work and Albania’s Future The Tirana Prosecution is expected to start an investigation about the
UEFA report, which declared that 13 Albanian Superleague matches during
this year had been fixed.
Sources at the Prosecution declared that they will demand the UEFA report from the Football Federation and will start the investigation.
The General Secretary of the Albanian Football Federation, Eduard Prodani, confirmed that this institution has made all necessary inspections after receiving the UEFA report.
“We have made our inspections after receiving the report, because it is our duty, and I can say that this is not about proofs or finding coulprits”, Prodani declared.
Prodani has discovered another rule of the AFF that will be applied in the next days, in order to reduce the match fixing phenomenon.
“We have started with the formalization, the legal form of the football clubs. The next step is the financial transparency. Any money that will be used in the clubs will be reported to the Federation, or they will not participate in European or even local matches”, Prodani declared.
Top Channel contacted with the clubs mentioned in UEFA-s report, but most of them preferred to remain silent. Only the Elbasan President denied to be part of match fixing, and that his club will be open to investigations, if necessary.
